Chairman and Chief Executive

As Chairman & Chief Executive Tim has responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the group. He is also the majority shareholder and Chairman of our parent company Maxted Capital Ltd.

Tim has additional external roles including as a trustee and board member of our local hospice LOROS and the Leicester Children’s Hospital Appeal.

He was appointed by HM the Queen as the High Sheriff of Leicestershire for 2017-18.

John Pennick Cert CII

Financial Risks Director

John is Financial Risks Director and leads on Professional Indemnity, Cyber and other specialist insurances.

John has over 30 years’ experience of advising businesses on how to manage and insure the financial, legal and regulatory risks they face. In addition to useful, practical advice, John can provide our clients with in-house training on a variety of risk awareness topics in these areas.

In recent years, John’s expertise expanded to include the rapidly-developing area of cyber risk and the specialised area of insurance that has emerged in response. As a market leader in Cyber insurance, he was asked to be a founding member and Chairman of the British Insurance Brokers’ Association’s Cyber Focus Group. This committee represents the interests of the UK’s insurance brokers and is in contact the government, Information Commissioner’s Office, Association of British Insurers and other interested parties.

John is a regular speaker at Cyber conferences and business networking events. In recent years he has worked with CBI, Willis Towers Watson Network, Insurance Times and Institute of Fundraising amongst others.

Sue Hull ACII

Chartered Insurance Broker, Operations Director

Sue joined Berkeley Insurance Group in 2004 in a training & compliance role, then progressed into the role of operations director.

As our operations director Sue is involved in all areas of the business and is a member of the strategic management team. Sue is responsible for implementing business strategies and practice together with ensuring strict FCA compliance.

Sue undertakes the management of key individuals who are in a leadership role within the group. Sue also manages our HR requirements as well as our recruitment process to ensure high standards across our members of staff.

Sue has a full understanding of what it takes to make the business work and works alongside the directors to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved.

Sue is currently the Deputy President of the Insurance Institute of Leicester 2021

Jonathan Yeeles FCA

Chief Financial Officer

Jonathan is a member of the Strategic Management Team, focusing on relationships and initiatives that will enable the company to meet its medium to long term financial goals.

Jonathan also leads, and takes ultimate responsibility for, the finance function of the group. Jonathan joined the company in January 2009 following a career in private practice, having specialised in the audit of a variety of regulated sector businesses.
